What Does a 2-, 3- or 5-Day Office Week Cost in Kochi?

Hybrid work has moved from experiment to routine. The open question is what the office half of the week should cost. This article answers with arithmetic. It takes GreenNest’s four published coworking plans and works out the cost per visit for every pattern, from one office day a week to six. Prices were checked on 6 October 2026.

What the research says about a split week

The strongest evidence on hybrid work is a randomised trial published in the journal Nature in 2024. Researchers followed 1,612 employees of a technology company for six months and tested a schedule with two days a week at home.

The study reported three results:

• Quit rates fell by one-third under the hybrid schedule.
• Performance grades did not change over the next two years of reviews.
• Managers changed their minds. Before the trial, the 395 managers involved expected hybrid work to lower productivity by 2.6%. Afterwards they expected a 1.0% gain.

The cost per visit, by office days a week

The table assumes visits are spread evenly across the weeks.

How the monthly plan compares

The monthly plan costs the same whatever your attendance, so its cost per visit falls as you come in more.

On cost per visit, the 25-day pack stays below the monthly plan at every pattern. The monthly plan is priced for something else. One day a week: the day pass

At one visit a week, the day pass wins. Four visits cost ₹1,600. A 10-day pack costs ₹2,500 and would lapse after 30 days with most of its days unused.

Two days a week: a pack, either size

Two days a week sits between the two packs.

• 10-day pack. You use 8 or 9 of the 10 days inside the 30-day window. That is about ₹280 to ₹310 a visit.
• 25-day pack. You use about 21 of the 25 days inside the 75-day window. That is about ₹238 a visit.

The 25-day pack costs less per visit. The 10-day pack costs less upfront.

Three to six days a week: the 25-day pack

From three days a week, all 25 days are used well inside the 75-day window, so the rate is the full ₹200 a day. Twenty-five day passes would cost ₹10,000, twice the pack price.
